Portraits of women in Worpswede

They were artists, artists’ muses, craftswomen or art dealers – women have left many different traces in Worpswede and still characterise the place today. Outstanding personalities or names that are almost forgotten today are encountered by visitors to Worpswede.

On a walk with a visit to the museum, we not only introduce you to the famous painter Paula Modersohn-Becker and her contemporaries, but also to women up to the present day who have worked or are currently working in the village.
